Last Friday, a mock-up of the Orion spacecraft was put into the worst landing scenarios a spacecraft can have while ascending down back to earth.
What the test encompassed is parachutes being deployed at an impact pitch of 42 degrees, which is a very high impact for something like that. The capsule got to around 47 MPH before it hit the water, flipped over, and reached the Stable 2 position. The video of the test can be seen below from a few view points. Enjoy!

The First Rocket In The World
Very few people know that the first rocket propulsion was invented in Romania. In Sibiu city, in 1529,Conrad Haas completed the draft of a space rocket with three solid fuel compartments. This rocket was launched in 1555. This amazing discovery belongs to Todericiu Doru, a Romanian teacher from the College of Science and Engineering, University of Bucharest. After studying several medieval manuscripts, he found a scroll describing with amazing accuracy a modern rocket. In 1967, professor Todericiu explain his discovery in " Romanian Journal oh History". The discovery has been halted at first, after which silence prevailed and almost no one talks about it today.
