NASA's Curiosity to launch on November 26

NASA's new rover called Curiosity will launch from the Cape Canaveral Air Force station located in Florida.
Curiosity's destination and mission objective? It's supposed to land inside the Gale crater on planet Mars. There, it will look for signs on whether Mars' environment was ever suitable for microbial life.

Much longer and also much heavier than its two predecessors, Spirit and Opportunity, Curiosity weighs in at 900kg and is 3 feet long. It boasts ten scientific tools that all together weigh 15 times more than Spirit or Opportunity's scientific tools.
Curiosity is supposed to get to Mars in August of next year, after a long and treacherous 8 month journey through our solar system. 

Peruvian Mummy is Extraterrestrial?

A new discovery has been made in Peru, in which archaeologists found a mummy with a head almost 20 inches long. Its body? Also 20 inches long. 

The mummy was found by Renato Davila Riquelme, who works at the Privado Ritos Andinos museum found in Cusco. What Renato says is interesting about the head is that while it has a soft spot (commonly seen in babies) it also has wisdom teeth. Another interesting observation he makes is how large the eye sockets of the skeleron head are. Below is a video with more info on the subject.

Lightest Material on Earth

Scientists have invented the lightest material on Earth. Dubbed "ultralight metallic microlattice", it consists of 99.99% air. The material is easiest to make out of nickle, but it can also be made out of other metals.

How light is this material? Well to put it into perspective, it is 100 times lighter than Styrofoam, and when dropped from shoulder height, it acts like a feather and takes about 10 seconds to touch the ground. If that wasn't crazy enough, if it is placed on top of a dandelion, it does not damage the fluff at al, as seen in the picture  below.

Now, for its uses? Well, Lorenzo Valdevit (UCI's principal investigator on this project) says that it can be used for anything ranging from battery applications to acoustic dampening and even impact protection. Definitely an interesting  material.

There Was The Fifth Giant Planet In Our Solar System?

Astronomer David Nesvorny of Southwest Research Institute from Texas believes that our solar system may have had a fifth planet once near Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. He believes that this planet was designed in the depths of our galaxy in a moment of cosmic disorder. After carefully studying the Kuiper Belt and craters from the Moon, Nesvorny concluded that about 600 millions years ago in the life of our solar system unstable orbit dynamics appeared that affected giant planets and made smaller celestial objects scatter. So, some of them moved in the Kuiper Belt and others moved on the inside of the galaxy.There also existed an impact with the Moon and other planets. If things would have been like that, then changes in the orbit of Jupiter would have had devastating effect on large and small planets like the Earth, the last one being able to collide with Mars or Venus.

So, something was wrong. "My colleagues have suggested another way to solve this problem", said Nesvory in a press conference.

It was assumed that Jupiter's orbit could change very quickly and not too slowly. But it didn't solve the problem because all the computer simulations performed have shown that sudden change of Jupiter's orbit would have made the planets Uranus and Neptune to be expelled from our solar system. So, probably in our solar system there was a fifth giant planet. Introducing another giant planet with a mass similar to that of Uranus or Neptune made perfect computer simulations that is the result of today's solar system as we know it. With Jupiter remaining in his place the inner planets remained unaffected and the outer planets remained behind.

"The possibility that our solar system had more than four giant planets in the beginning and then some of them were ejected seem to be feasible conditions because recently scientists discovered a large number of free floating planets in interstellar space indicating that the process of ejection of planets is one that is currently happening", said Nesvorny.

Therefore, is this scenario were true this fifth planet could be Planet X?

Do You Think Faith Is Genetically Programmed Into Our Minds?

Religious beliefs as part of human nature are deeply embedded in the human brain and to a point are genetically programmed like everything from our appearance as a species, say researchers at the Yale University.

The clearest evidence is found in children's perception of life and their belief that the mind is separated from the body. Such a distinction is what allows us to believe in the supernatural, the gods or imaginary friends. "All people have these beliefs. They are located in the brain circuits and never change." said Professor Paul Bloom, a psychologist at the prestigious American university.

As we age, we begin to focus more on the moral dimension of faith and less on its supernatural aspects, says the authors. However, in periods of heavy stress, we tend to approach the supernatural aspects of our life, as evidenced by the large number of people who return to faith in times of crisis.

"Sharing of the same religious belief helped our ancestors enormously, especially when they must work together to hunt, to defend or care for those communities suffering. So that's how we managed to surpass other species in the evolutionary race." concludes Paul Bloom.

The Maya Announce That The End Of The World Is Postponed

Despite gloomy predictions of the Mayan calendar announcing 2012 as the end of the world, an old Mayan leader reassures us about the fateful date of 21 December 2012. 

Apolinario Chile Pixum, a Mayan from Guatemala also contradicts the current trend of opinion stating that the Mayan apocalypse theory is an idea which would be catastrophic Western full coverage of sources in ancient Mayan civilization. But pro-apocalypse enthusiasts are convinced that the planetary alignment in 2012 will result in a catastrophe of gigantic proportions which cyclically occurs on Earth every 25,800 years.

Mexican archaeologist Guillermo Bernal believes the eroded fragment contains the message: "He comes from Heaven."

Was The Moon Created By Higher Beings ?

Reasons that make us believe that the Moon was created by higher beings so that we can exist on the Earth are :

• Moon rotates at the same speed as the Earth. If the Moon would rotate with different speed than the Earth, then it would have shown us its unseen face which can not be seen from the Earth. Moreover, even if the Moon's orbit distance from Earth increases every year, its rotation slows down by exactly the right ratio, so we always see the same face. Hell of a coincidence !
• If there were no Moon, the Earth would be as dead as the planet Venus. This phenomenon occurs because the Moon has a large stabilizing effect on the Earth called the tidal effect that aids in the occurrence of seasons and keeps liquid water on most of the Earth.
• Observation of solar and moon eclipses. The Moon is 400 times smaller than the Sun, yet is 400 times closer to the Earth than the Sun, so "miraculously"the Sun and Moon appear in the sky as having the same size which makes it possible to observe the total eclipses of the Moon and the Sun. Big coincidence !
• Moon rises and sets in the exact same place as the Sun but in different solstice. For example, the Moon rises in the winter solstice ( December 22 ) in the exact same spot the Sun was rising from in the summer solstice ( June 22 ).
• Moon doesn't have a solid core like other planets, so it is hollow or has a very low density inside. Thus it could be more like an interplanetary ship.

Who Built The Moon ?

More and more theories assert that the Moon is not only a natural celestial object near the Earth who came in this place accidentally. Coincidences do not exist, there are only laws unknown to us. Believe it or not, but it seems that the Moon was created specifically to support life on planet Earth because it has some unique benefits for people. If the Moon did not have the size and weight that it has and if the distance between it and the Earth was not the one who is, then our planet would not have been able to support intelligent life.

Ophiuchus, The 13th sign

Ophiuchus is the Zodiac sign depicting a man holding a large snake, which symbolizes the Dark Rift of the Milky Way Galaxy, a feature so important in Maya astrology, representing the "road to the underworld." The Ophiuchus constellation is located between Libra and Saggitarius, at exactly the point in which the Galactic Plane and the plane of our solar system's orbit cross each other.

At an astronomical level, the Earth and its Solar System have been crossing the Galactic Equator since 1998, in a process which will be complete by around 2016. This is the basis for much of the 2012 hype and even the "Photon Belt" iterations of early 1990s New Agery.

The Solar System revolves around the galactic Center in a see-saw-like motion, which some astrophysicists have theorized puts Earth at greater risk of extraterrestrial impact, during these times, as we pass through the Galactic Arms, which are more densely-packed with asteroids and plasmas.

The effects of this passage have been noted in the Earth's magnetosphere and the Sun's heliosphere, which encapsulates the entire solar system; both of which protect us from the harmful radiation of cosmic rays and both of which have shrunken or at times become torn, leaving the daylight side of the Earth completely naked to bombardment by solar radiation. Even the most conservative geophysicist whom I asked what this could cause suggested that we will see a spike in cancers and mutations arising from this astrophysical passage.

"Mutation" is a word that has come to be associated with the nightmarish genetic damage that has been the byproduct of nuclear fallout and radiation poisoning. But the word "mutation" simply means "change" in Latin - as it does in the strictest sense, in the science of genetics. Change is constant and change can certainly be good. It remains to be seen if the effects of cosmic radiation will prove beneficial for the human race and for life on Earth.

And it remains to be seen if this emerging 13th sign of Ophiuchus will gain traction in the hoary world of astrology.

The Universe is alive and behaves as such. Today, at the Princeton Observatory anyone can listen the powerful blast that comes from the immemorial mists.

From God To Atom ... And Vice Versa

6000 years ago, Egyptian priests had built the Temple of Heliopolis. This is one of the oldest historic buildings in the world. At Heliopolis, the priests worship the Creator of all the worlds, which they called Atum. From here we can continue to define overarching principles : it is the primordial substance, it is protomateria and the initial atom that consist of space, time and wishes. So, Atum gave birth to everything in the Universe. Atum's correspondent is Brahma for the Hindu. From the Hindu we know the fact that Brahma "invented" the two fundamental and primordial energies : positive and negative that is masculine and feminine, or yin and yang. Modern physicists and biologists studying protomateria which they consider the principle of life. The protomateria is neutral, it is neither positive or negative. Interestingly, Aton means "neutral". Brahmans called God Atma. The Tibetans called God Aum. The Jews called God Adonai and the Greeks called him Adonis. In other words, our ancestors had found these names are synonyms of "atom".
